Following their recent tour of Brazil, including a headline show to over 100,000 people at the legendary Rock in Rio Festival, Iron Maiden are proud to officially launch the first ever locally brewed member of the Trooper family; Trooper Brasil IPA.  This version of the 25 million pint selling Trooper beer is made in partnership with award-winning Brazilian brewery Bodebrown. The band also played sold-out stadium shows in both São Paulo and and Porto Alegre as part of their Legacy of the Beast Tour.

Premiered at Mondiale del la Biere Festival in Rio last month, Brasil IPA is brewed to provide a local taste twist whilst still retaining the flavour and individuality of the original multiple award-winning beers from Iron Maiden and Robinsons Brewery in Cheshire, England, that have been exported to over 50 countries around the world. Characterised by its low bitterness and subtle notes of cocoa, white chocolate and mango, the IPA is made at the Cavalcanti brothers’ brewery in Curitiba with four types of malt and a dry-hopping of Sorachi Ace, Amarillo and Sabro hops with an infusion of cocoa nibs from the coastal Brazilian city of Iheus.

Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson added, “I’m delighted that our Brazilian fans are the first to get their very own version of Trooper. Ever since we played Rock in Rio for the first time in 1985, we have had a fantastic relationship with the country and the people here, and our three shows here have been some of the biggest and best of the Tour. We were excited to create a beer that is specifically designed for the Brazilian palate, and Trooper Brasil IPA is full of great flavours.
