Maiden have been nominated for the ‘BEST BRITISH LIVE ACT’ at the forthcoming prestigious music industry ‘Brits’ award alongside, Coldplay , Elbow, Scouting For Girls  and The Verve.

Commenting last night at the nomination party, Rod said: “Iron Maiden’s secret weapon is our fans. Anyone who’s been to one of our shows knows that they’re the most passionate and devoted fans on the planet, making the incredible atmosphere at our shows. To be nominated for Best Live Act at the Brits is as much a recognition of them as it is of us. So for all of them, Up The Irons!”

The winner will be chosen by BBC Radio 2 listeners — voting doesn’t start until February 2nd so we’ll be sure to keep you updated!
