As our fans know, Bruce had intended to join the final leg of the Heavy Metal Truants bike ride from Leicester into Donington Park for the opening of the Download Festival, flying straight in from Germany after two consecutive Maiden shows in Frankfurt. However, following a recent virus infection he was instructed by doctors to rest for a couple of days so was unable to take part. The Truants were given a warm welcome as they arrived at Download after their 161 mile, three day Charity cycle ride from London.
