Next weekend, Rod and The Truants will be on their bikes again – this time to Marrakesh for 130 miles of mainly off-road and decidedly hilly-sounding cycling, all in the name of charity. So, as has become traditional, we’re having a special fanclub-only auction to raise some extra funds. This time we’ve had a dig through the archives and pulled out some goodies along a ‘Maiden England’ theme – to celebrate the successful US tour and to look forward to 2013 in Europe. Speaking of which, you’ll notice a very special Donington opportunity is up for grabs… We’ve chosen a nice mixture of items to hopefully offer something for every budget.
The Truants support three charities – Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy, Childline and The Teenage Cancer Trust. All profits from the bike ride, and from the auction, are split equally between the three. The Truants don’t touch a penny.
The auction is now live, and will run until Sunday 30th September, the very day Rod starts his ride. So think of him and The Truants pedalling along while your finger hovers over the bid button!
