IRON MAIDEN round off their Final Frontier World Tour at London’s O2 Arena on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th August.

As most fans know, Maiden’s official Photographer John McMurtrie travelled with the band on board their Boeing 757 jet named Ed Force One from January 2008, capturing on camera not only the five continents visited on the Somewhere Back In Time World Tour but also the Round The World In 66 Days leg of The Final Frontier World Tour earlier this year. This extensive coverage will be made available later this year as a photographic book, entitled ‘ON BOARD FLIGHT 666’. Published by Orion Books it will feature hundreds of stunning photos with explanatory text, giving an exclusive, behind-the-scenes pictorial documentation of both tours.

To celebrate Iron Maiden’s appearance at the O2, The British Music Experience (located at the O2 Bubble) will be offering, for a limited period only, the opportunity to view a specially selected sample of prints from the book in an intimate setting within the BME.

This unique Presentation starts on Friday 5th August to coincide with Iron Maiden’s first show at the O2 so if you’re going to the concert, why not come down early and grab a sneak preview during the day?  Big Eddie from ‘Somewhere Back In Time’ will be there at the entrance of the Museum to greet you.  Entry to the photographic preview is included in general admission to the BME, and John McMurtrie himself hopes to be present during the first two days of the showing. As an added bonus, Iron Maiden Fan Club members will have access to an exclusive discount voucher allowing them and two guests to get into the BME for just £5 each (usual price £12) for the days of the Iron Maiden shows.
