As mentioned in last week’s newsletter we can now announce the exciting news that you can bid online to fly with Maiden’s pilot of choice, Mr Bruce Dickinson!!!

Up for grabs are 6 flights which will take place during June 2001 departing from High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, England, for a
90-minute pleasure flight with the lead singer at the controls. The highest bidder will receive a special bonus – an entire day of aviation! This will encompass the flight from High Wycombe to Biggin Hill and then, once on the ground at Biggin Hill, they’ll able to test their own piloting skills on a professional full motion airliner flight simulator. If they’re still standing after that experience Bruce will fly them back to High Wycombe taking in the panaromic views over the River Thames and Windsor along the way.

This special auction is a charity promotion from Ebay and metal-is.com and you can place your bid on www.ebay.co.uk from 1200 GMT May 1 to 1200 GMT May 11 inclusive.

The auction profits to will be donated to 2 charities: The Iain Rennie Hospice Organisation and Scope.

The other charity, SCOPE, provides support in a number of areas to people with cerebral palsy. More information about the charities can be found at www.irhh.org and www.scope.org.uk respectively.
